The role reports to the SVP Insurance Operation, and has direct responsibility for the following areas: - To create comprehensive service guidelines for operational processes & effectively manage all aspects of insurance operations & service standards to achieve compliance & legality objectives. - To manage the everyday operations of insurance sales in Taiwan, including relationship with insurance product suppliers, applications processing, and insurance customer service team. - To oversee the day-to-day operations of insurance sales in Taiwan. This includes managing the relationship with insurance product providers and handling application processing. The focus is on efficiently managing these aspects to ensure smooth operations, effective customer service, and successful sales performance in the insurance sector. - To support SVP insurance operation, who has been appointed as SME control owner to review and comment complaints, internal controls & handle event/incident. - To maintain the qualifications of insurance sales, including examinations, registration and on job trainings, to ensure that the qualification of insurance sales comply within regulations. Impact on the Business - Process Improvement: To continually evaluate existing processes & identifies areas for improvement. Develop & implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce costs, enhance productivity, and improve customer service. They may collaborate with other departments/stakeholders to implement process enhancements and automation - Compliance & Risk Management: Stay up-to-date with insurance industry regulations and ensure that the department operates in compliance with legal requirements and internal policies. Develop and implement controls to mitigate operational risks and maintain data security and confidentiality - Performance Analysis & Reporting: To analyzes KPIs and prepares reports on operational performance & productivity. Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement and present findings to senior management. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and implement strategies for operational excellence - Sales Support: To provide sales support to all channels and provide support to RM/FPM for special request. - Sales Qualification: To ensure Insurance sales qualification including getting license, registration and on-job trainings. 1) General on-job training (12hrs/year, 30hrs for new registered (1st year) solicitors) 2) Regulation and complaint on-job training (6hrs/year) 3) Selling insurance product to elderly customer (2hrs/year) 4) Selling insurance products (1hr/year) 5) ILP training (2hrs/year) Customers / Stakeholders - Support on “voice of the customer” initiatives in product and selling process to support customer centric approach - Support a culture of customer journey design and adoption in the development of customer solutions and products - Work with the branch network to deliver insurance solutions to meet customer needs - Maintaining relationships with regulator and other key financial bodies within the Country to ensure regulatory compliance when implementing products in the Country Leadership & Teamwork - To support Team operation in providing a high quality, customer driven, support function - Experience impact to WPB business, portfolios, and Group while ensuring timely implementation
Qualifications
  • University graduated or above
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in Banking/Insurance industry
  • A detailed knowledge of the structure of insurance operation is essential
  • Strong knowledge of insurance product and underwriting rules
  • Proven track record of communicating effectively within the organization and external groups
  • License Requirement: 人身保險代理人, 財產保險代理人is preferred
